About Dimensions
Dimensions is a not-for-profit organisation that supports autistic people and people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent and connected lives. Every person we support is unique, so we design personalised support that helps them make choices, build confidence and enjoy the everyday things that matter — from relationships and hobbies to work, health and having fun.
Across England and Wales, our 7,000 colleagues work alongside families, professionals and — most importantly — the people we support to create healthier, happier, more independent lives. Whether someone needs full-time support, help managing complex needs or just a few hours each week, we focus on dignity, inclusion and giving people a real voice in shaping their own support.
When you join Dimensions, you join a team dedicated to making better lives for more people — every single day.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
At Kimberley Road in Cardiff, you’ll be supporting three adults (two women and one man, aged 30s–50s) to live fulfilling, independent lives in a warm and friendly home. Each person has their own unique personality, interests and support needs, including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and autism. Your role will be varied and rewarding, combining practical support with meaningful engagement.
You’ll support with day-to-day living, including some personal care, household tasks and encouraging independence. The people you’ll be supporting enjoy a range of activities—from walks and sensory experiences to trips to Cardiff and Bristol, theatre outings and summer holidays. One gentleman enjoys completing puzzles every day, while the ladies love music, TV shows and spending time in the community.
Shifts - 9am - 8pm, sleep Ins.
About you
You don’t need previous experience to become a great Support Worker — what matters most is your attitude. We’re looking for people who are patient, strong communication skills, positive, kind and genuinely motivated to help others live well. If you’re someone who listens, encourages independence, enjoys being part of an active team and isn’t afraid of getting stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be someone who values dignity, choice and inclusion, and who brings calmness, resilience and creativity to your work — whether that’s helping with personal care, supporting communication, joining someone for a favourite activity, or enabling someone to feel safe and confident throughout their day.
