– Current Support Worker

If you're looking for a rewarding role where compassion, teamwork and meaningful relationships are at the heart of every day, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

We're looking for caring and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Bath (BA1), supporting eight adults aged 40–60 with a range of complex health and support needs.

This is a warm, welcoming service where every person is supported as an individual. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues to provide person-centred support to people with epilepsy, PEG feeding requirements, complex physical disabilities and communication needs.

The people we support enjoy a variety of activities, including:

  • Music and sensory sessions
  • Arts, crafts and baking
  • Gardening and outdoor activities
  • Spending time with friends, family and support staff
  • Exploring new experiences and maintaining active routines

Family involvement is important, and you'll work closely with relatives and healthcare professionals to ensure every person receives the best possible support.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting personal care and daily living tasks
  • Administering medication and following healthcare plans
  • Supporting PEG feeding and epilepsy protocols (full training provided)
  • Following SALT guidance around feeding and communication
  • Encouraging choice, independence and participation
  • Building meaningful relationships and understanding individual communication styles
  • Supporting activities that promote wellbeing and quality of life

Shifts include mornings, afternoons, long days and sleep-ins, with rotas provided in advance to support work-life balance.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Caring, patient and person-centred
  • A positive and supportive team member
  • Comfortable supporting people with complex needs
  • Observant and attentive to individual communication styles
  • Respectful of different cultures, lifestyles and preferences
  • Someone who enjoys helping people achieve meaningful outcomes
  • Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn

Experience in complex care is beneficial but not essential — we'll provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
