About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you'll find more than just a job, you'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. We believe that great support starts with great people, which is why we value every voice, prioritise wellbeing, and encourage personal and professional growth.  Thanks to our incredible colleagues, Dimensions Group has been recognised as a Great Place to Work® for 2026, marking our eighth consecutive year of accreditation.

About the Role

We're looking for caring and motivated Support Workers to join our friendly team in New Milton, supporting six individuals across two large, two-storey houses. Each person lives independently in their own self-contained flat, enabling them to enjoy as much choice and control over their lives as possible.

You'll be supporting five gentlemen and one lady, aged between their 30s and 50s, who have mild to moderate learning disabilities, epilepsy, and, at times, may display behaviours of distress, including verbal aggression. Every individual has their own unique personality, goals, and interests, which include:

  • Visiting Marwell Zoo
  • Watching and participating in sports
  • Playing pool and cricket
  • Listening to music, TV, and radio
  • Shopping trips
  • Holidays and days out
  • Spending time with family and friends

Support needs vary across the people we support. Two individuals are highly independent and require minimal support, while others may need more assistance with daily living activities, communication, accessing the community, and maintaining their independence.

One individual uses a wheelchair when out in the community, and another communicates without using words, so you'll need patience, creativity, and a person-centred approach to support communication and participation.

There is plenty of onsite parking available. Driving is not essential, as it is conveniently located near a train station and bus routes.

You don't need previous experience in care to join us, we're looking for people with the right values, attitude, and commitment to making a positive difference.

You'll be:

  • Kind, patient, and compassionate
  • A strong communicator and listener
  • Confident supporting people to achieve their goals and maintain their independence
  • Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Committed to providing person-centred support
