About the Role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Outreach Support Worker to support a friendly gentleman in his late 30s who lives with his parents.

He has a moderate learning disability and scoliosis and enjoys leading an active and varied lifestyle. He loves getting out and about for drives, taking short walks, spending time around horses, and exploring nature and wildlife. At home, he enjoys music, games, arts and crafts, and tea parties. He also takes great pride in caring for the two giant snails in his garden.

The gentleman communicates in his own unique way, so patience, good listening skills, and a willingness to build a strong understanding of his communication style are essential. He is sociable, has a great sense of humour, and enjoys spending time in the community.

This is a 1:1 lone working support role and offers the opportunity to build a rewarding and meaningful relationship while helping him enjoy the activities he loves.
