About Dimensions
You can bring your whole self to work and be celebrated for it. Inclusion, respect, and practical support ensure you feel seen, supported, and valued, so you can thrive alongside the people we support.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting four older adults to live the lives they choose in their supported living home.
The people we support enjoy a range of interests including music, attending church, shopping trips, meals out and spending time in their local town. As a Support Worker, you will take the time to understand what is important to each person, building meaningful relationships and supporting them to enjoy the things they love while exploring new opportunities and experiences.
A key focus for this home is supporting people to become more active in their communities and increasing opportunities for hobbies and social connections. We are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for helping people have rich and fulfilling lives, rather than simply maintaining routines.
Using Dimensions' person-centred approach, you will support people to make choices, achieve outcomes, and develop independence wherever possible. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure each person receives the right support at the right time.
As with any support role, you will also provide practical assistance tailored to individual needs. This includes supporting people with personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, supporting with health appointments, and maintaining accurate records using a range of digital systems.
Communication is varied across the people we support, with some people using limited verbal communication and others expressing themselves through gestures, body language, and objects of reference. Patience, observation, and a willingness to learn how each person communicates will be essential.
The team works a mixture of early and late shifts, with every other weekend required. There are usually three colleagues on shift, creating a supportive team environment where everyone works together to achieve great outcomes.
About you
We are looking for someone with some previous experience in health and social care who understands the importance of person-centred support and can confidently work as part of a team.
You will bring a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of the people you support. You will be comfortable supporting people with complex needs, personal care requirements, and varying communication styles.
Digital confidence is essential for this role. You will need to be able to use multiple IT systems, complete electronic records, write reports and maintain accurate documentation. Experience using digital care recording systems would be advantageous.
