About the role.

  • Support Worker
  • Full time – 37.5 hours per week
  • Luton, Bedfordshire
  • Full UK Manual driving licence essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Support Worker to join our established team in Luton, supporting a gentleman in his late thirties who lives independently in his own home.

He loves being out and about, staying active, and engaging in hobbies that bring him enjoyment and support his independence. His week might include going for drives in his mobility vehicle, visiting local parks, enjoying meals out, bus rides, or simply spending time exploring new experiences and interests. He is sensory focused and benefits from support that encourages him to develop skills, try new things at his own pace, and maintain his independence.

You will provide support with all aspects of daily living, including medication, meal planning, and personal hygiene. His support is centred around encouragement, guidance, and respectful oversight rather than hands on assistance.

This role also involves working closely with family members and external partnerships. Building trust, maintaining professional boundaries, and communicating openly and respectfully are key to providing the best possible support. We are looking for someone who can confidently balance the needs of the person we support while maintaining positive relationships with both family members and colleagues.

Shift pattern - This is a full-time position and flexibility is essential. Shifts include: 7:30am to 10:00pm and 10:00am to 7:00pm. We are looking for someone who can work majority of shifts across Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends on a regular basis.

  • A good understanding of autism and sensory based support.
