Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

  • Support Worker
  • Full time (37.5 hours) and Part time (20 hours)
  • Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL7
  • Full UK driving licence essential (Must be able to drive an automatic car)

Looking for a role where no two days are the same and where you can genuinely make a difference to people's lives? We're looking for Support Workers to join our friendly team supporting four people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and epilepsy in their home. This is a lively, social and rewarding home where the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

You'll be supporting two ladies and two gentlemen aged in their 50s and 60s to live the lives they choose, maintaining their independence, achieving personal goals and enjoying the interests they love most. From holidays abroad and UK breaks, cinema trips, swimming, concerts and theatre visits, to arts and crafts, tennis, gym sessions, discos, afternoon teas and train journeys exploring new places, you'll help create opportunities for experiences and memorable moments.

You'll provide person-centred support with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, shopping and maintaining a comfortable home environment. Some people require full support with personal care, whilst others benefit from encouragement and prompting to remain as independent as possible.

This position can offer either a 37.5-hour full-time position or a 20-hour position, with a mixture of day shifts and sleep-ins. Shifts typically include 8am to 4pm, 10am to 8pm and 10am to 10pm followed by a sleep-in, working on a rolling four-week rota including alternate weekends.

A full UK driving licence is essential (manual or automatic), as you'll be driving the people we support in their own automatic mobility vehicles to appointments, activities, holidays and social events.

About you

You'll be a positive, patient and enthusiastic person who enjoys helping others live the lives they choose. We're looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about supporting people to be independent, active and connected to their community.

To be successful in this role, you'll:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence (manual or automatic).
  • Be flexible to work days, sleep-ins and alternate weekends.
  • Be comfortable supporting with personal care, medication and daily living tasks.
  • Have good communication skills and enjoy building positive relationships.
  • Be calm, resilient and able to support people who may experience behaviours of distress.
  • Work well as part of a team and be willing to learn.

Experience in care is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most is your attitude, values and commitment to making a difference every day.
