Hours: Part Time – 30 Hours per Week

Pay: £14.86 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

We're looking for an enthusiastic, active and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Radstock (BA3), supporting a gentleman in his 30s with autism, a learning disability and sensory processing differences.

This is a dedicated 1:1 support role, with additional 2:1 support provided daily, helping him enjoy an active and fulfilling lifestyle while providing consistency, reassurance and personalised support.

He has a great sense of humour, enjoys spending time with people he knows and trusts, and loves being out and about. No two days are the same, and you'll spend much of your time supporting him to enjoy the activities and experiences he loves.

He enjoys:

• Walking and exploring new places

• Shopping trips

• Cycling

• Swimming

• Archery

• Outdoor activities

• Holidays, including annual trips to Centre Parcs and the Forest of Dean

• Relaxing in hot tubs and enjoying outdoor spaces

• Spending time with people he knows well

He is affectionate, sociable and enjoys close connections with the people who support him. Building a trusting and consistent relationship is an important part of the role.

Support includes:

• Supporting him with his personal care

• Meal preparation and encouraging healthy eating

• Administering medication

• Supporting sensory needs and routines

• Following Positive Behaviour Support guidance

• Supporting him to maintain an active lifestyle

• Supporting him to do the things that matter to him

• Working closely with family members and colleagues to provide consistent support

Family involvement is a significant part of this role, and you'll work in partnership with relatives to help provide the best possible support.

• Long day with sleep-in: 9:00am – 9:00am the following day

• 2:1 support: 9:00am – 8:00pm

• Thursday 2:1 support: 9:00am – 9:00pm

• Between 1–2 sleep-ins per week (£50 paid per sleep-in)

Rotas are provided in advance to support planning and work–life balance.

Experience is not essential, but a willingness to learn, positive attitude and commitment to supporting people well are essential.
