About the role
As a Support Worker, you'll play a meaningful role in helping people live active, independent, and fulfilling lives. You'll spend your time supporting people to enjoy the things that matter most to them while building confidence, skills, and independence along the way.
You could be supporting people to get involved in a wide range of activities, including cycling, swimming, walking, gym sessions, cinema trips, bowling, meals out, computer classes, and learning opportunities such as maths and other educational courses. You'll encourage people to pursue their interests, try new experiences, and achieve personal goals, providing the right level of support to help them thrive.
At home, you'll support people with everyday tasks and routines, offering guidance, encouragement, and occasional prompts with personal care where needed. You'll also assist with planning activities, supporting appointments, preparing meals, promoting wellbeing, and helping to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
This role is all about building positive relationships, celebrating achievements, and making every day enjoyable and meaningful. If you enjoy being active, getting involved, and supporting people to live life to the fullest, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Shift patterns will vary depending on the needs of the people we support and can be discussed further during the interview process. (These include days, evenings, weekends and sleep ins)
About you
We're looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about supporting people to live the lives they choose. You don't need previous experience in care, but you do need a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
You'll enjoy building meaningful relationships and take pride in supporting people to achieve their goals, develop new skills, and enjoy the activities that matter most to them. Whether that's heading out for a swim, supporting someone at a computer class, enjoying a meal out, or encouraging someone to try something new, you'll bring enthusiasm, patience, and encouragement to every interaction.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, and happy to get involved in a varied and active role. You'll be a team player who treats people with respect, listens to what matters to them, and is committed to promoting choice, independence, and wellbeing.
