Love Football, Music, Days Out and Making a Real Difference?

If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and where you can genuinely change lives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We're looking for enthusiastic, caring and proactive Support Workers to join our friendly team in Dorchester, supporting two young adults who are passionate about getting out and making the most of life.

One person is a woman in her 30s and the other is a man in his 20s. Both are wheelchair users and live in supported living flats within a vibrant community setting. One person communicates without using words, so we're looking for someone who is patient, observant and willing to learn different ways of communicating.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who see the person first and are committed to helping them live the life they choose.

What Will You Be Doing?

This is far more than a care role. You'll be supporting people to pursue their interests, achieve personal goals and enjoy meaningful experiences every day.

You could be:

  • Cheering from the stands at a football match
  • Enjoying live music events and concerts
  • Getting creative with arts and crafts
  • Exploring local parks, countryside and nature trails
  • Visiting beaches and local attractions
  • Supporting swimming sessions and hydrotherapy appointments
  • Heading out shopping or attending appointments
  • Promoting wellbeing, independence and choice every step of the way

Alongside these activities, you will provide personal care with dignity and respect, ensuring the people you support feel valued, empowered and in control of their lives.

Who Are We Looking For?

You don't need previous experience in social care. We can teach skills, but kindness, enthusiasm and the right values are what really matter.

You'll be:

  • Caring, compassionate and patient
  • Someone who enjoys supporting others to achieve their goals
  • Comfortable providing personal care
  • A confident driver with a full UK/EU manual driving licence
  • Flexible to work early, late and weekend shifts
  • A positive team player with good communication skills
  • Passionate about helping people live independently and enjoy life to the fullest

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression

  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
