About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and resilient people to join our team and support two young men with autism, learning disabilities, and complex support needs in the Sheffield area.
The support is provided across two services, located in S5 and S13, and we're recruiting both full-time and part-time Support Workers who can work flexibly and are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives.
As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in encouraging independence, promoting wellbeing, and helping the people we support live happy, fulfilling lives. Every day is different, and your support will help them build confidence, develop life skills, access their local communities, and achieve the goals that are important to them.
You'll provide support with:
The young man you will be supporting in our S5 service thrives when surrounded by people who are calm, patient, consistent, and reliable.
He enjoys being part of his local community and benefits from routines that provide structure and predictability throughout his day. Building trust is important to him, and he responds well to support workers who take the time to get to know him, understand his communication style, respect his choices, and support him at his own pace.
There may be times when he feels anxious or overwhelmed, so he needs support from people who can remain calm, provide reassurance, and follow agreed support strategies consistently. The most successful team members are those who can balance encouragement and independence while creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment where he can flourish.
We're looking for people who are compassionate, positive, and confident in supporting others to live the life they choose.
You don't necessarily need previous experience in social care. What's most important is your willingness to learn, your resilience, and your commitment to providing person-centred support. We provide full training, ongoing guidance, and the support you need to build a rewarding career.
If you're someone who enjoys helping others, celebrates achievements big and small, and wants to make a genuine difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Shift:
We are looking for both full-time and part-time Support Workers. Flexibility is essential as staff will be required to work across services. Shifts will start from 7:00am and may include early shifts, day shifts, afternoon shifts, late shifts, sleep-in shifts, weekends and bank holidays. Shift patterns are worked on a rota basis and can vary according to the needs of the people we support.
