Changes

What would I say has changed since I’ve been on Aspire? Just ask my team. They’ve seen a transformation first-hand.

I’ve heard from them that I’m a fast learner, quick to help others, pro-active and trusted, I’m super self-sufficient, and that I’m a great addition to the team.

A big boost for me is that I’ve made a helpful impact on seniors’ caseload. Which is a great support to everyone involved.

Strengths

I’ve uncovered many strengths thanks to my Aspire journey. More than I expected.

With the power of saying ‘No’, I’ve found my voice. I can be more assertive and confident saying it now.

I can use Microsoft Excel now, which is skill I’m glad I’ve unlocked. Graphs are used a lot within Behaviour Support.

While my colleague was on holiday recently, I learned how to do an Initial Assessment on someone. This gave me tremendous confidence.

And I’ve put some of the Aspire training delivery into good action. For example, I ask more questions to the group and use silence properly when in meetings.

Proud

This year I took a leap into Behaviour Support. I applied for a behavior support role and got it! I’m now doing this as a secondment.

And I’m also very proud of owning my confidence now. I’ve grown into someone who believes in their voice, trusts their instincts, and is more self-assured.

Useful developments from Aspire

A few coaching sessions sparked my confidence, especially one we did before I had the job interview for the Behaviour Support role.

Confidence & Assertiveness workshops were brilliant. They helped me to learn to say ‘No’ and not feel bad about do so.

And I discovered a lot about myself thanks to the personality types workshops we covered. I can now hone in on certain aspects of my MBTI!

Pleased

The shift in me after Aspire has been powerful and personal. I am not having as much imposter syndrome anymore. I approach things with much more belief in myself and complete confidence in what I do.

For example, I worked on autism training design and modifications.

I am happier in my job. This is thanks in some way to Aspire. I’m especially happier since starting the new role and the variety that it brings.
