If you’re someone who’s spent years caring for others—whether professionally or personally—and you’re now looking for a role where your empathy, patience, and life experience can truly make a difference, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

We’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, and thoughtful Support Worker to join our team in ST7, supporting a vibrant and independent lady in her 50s. She’s full of personality, enjoys her routines, and thrives with support that’s consistent, respectful, and engaging.

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You’ll be supporting a determined and sociable woman with a learning disability. She enjoys:

  • Spending time with animals
  • Regular gym sessions and the occasional game of crazy golf
  • Pampering and makeover sessions
  • Eating out, watching soap operas, and taking annual holidays across the UK

She values her independence and enjoys building relationships with those around her. Her family is actively involved, and maintaining strong communication with them is an important part of the role.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you’ll be:

  • Providing Daily Support: Offering verbal prompts for personal care and daily routines
  • Maintaining Structure: Supporting her routine, including meal prep, medication, and outings
  • Building Relationships: Working closely with her family, internal teams, and external professionals
  • Engaging in Activities: Joining her at the gym, on day trips, and during meals out
  • Supporting Emotional Well-Being: Providing reassurance during behaviours of distress (PBS training provided)

Shift Patterns Include:

  • Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Sleep-In Shifts: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (2–3 per week)
  • Long Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance. Weekend shifts are shared fairly across the team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Calm & Patient: Brings a reassuring presence to every interaction
  • Organised & Reliable: Manages routines and responsibilities with care
  • Compassionate & Respectful: Understands the importance of dignity and choice
  • Experienced: Comfortable supporting behaviours of distress (training provided)
