Involvement and Engagement Officer - Part-time

To enable, empower and support people in paid and voluntary lived experience roles within the Dimensions Group.

To coordinate the Dimensions Council in support of the Chair and Vice Chair, planning, preparing, and managing logistics for all meetings, virtual and in person.

To provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Involvement and Engagement Team, and facilitation to the Dimensions Council and Discovery Council as required.

Occasional travel to teams meetings during the year.

The hours available to work are 30 a week. The full-time salary is £34,287.23, pro-rata salary of £27,429.78.

About the role 

Your main duties will include: 

  • Coordinate the Dimensions Council – ensuring that members meet routinely, devise their own agenda, and have what they need to fully participate, as well as sharing notes in accessible formats
  • Work with council members individually and as a group, to help them develop the confidence and skills to work together to achieve their goals.
  • To support and coach the Dimensions Council Chair and Vice Chair in leading the Dimensions council, undertaking all associated administrative duties and enabling their influence within the Group through partnership with other departments and connection to the Group Executive Team.
  • Help to recruit and support Quality Consultants (people we support in paid roles) and connect them to opportunities where they can influence decision making, organisational culture and the future of social care (e.g. recruitment, training, committees, external partnerships).

About you

The successful applicant will have: 

  • Experience of Supporting individuals with a learning disability, neurodiversity and/or Autism.
  • Able to create/translate information into simple, accessible formats
  • Possess coaching skills which enable people to contribute, influence, develop and thrive in their roles.
  • Have good foundational knowledge of what it means to be person centered
