Are you looking to slowly transition into a new role? Relief work means you choose your hours - with no obligation to accept shifts, meaning you can fit this role around your current commitments.

*Rather than accruing annual leave this is paid on top of your hourly rate as you work, so you get an additional 12.07% for every hour you work. Your base rate of pay is £11.44 per hour so your total hourly rate is £11.44 + 12.07% = £12.82 per hour.

About the people we support:

We have 2 independent men with Downs Syndrome in their 20s who love their football and support Newcastle United & Sunderland.

They also enjoy heading out to the cinema, parks, love a pub lunch and we’re looking for someone to assist them to live independently in their own home.

You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress – full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.

An outgoing support worker with a passion for football or anything active would be a wonderful match.

What will I be doing?

You will be supporting both men to live their lives how they choose and to achieve their goals.
You will be supporting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Shift Patterns:

10am-10am the following day (including a £45 sleepover shift)
Sleep-Ins cover hours from 10:30pm-8am.
Additional shorter day shifts available on weekdays.
Flexibility to work a combination of shifts during the week and at weekends is required.
Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance.
