Location: RG2, Whitley, Reading (Just a 10min Walk from Whitley Wood Fire Station)
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours + Sleep-In Shift)
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift (where applicable)
Driver Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence (Manual) – vehicle available at the house
Requirement: This role is restricted to female applicants with experience in health and social care.

Where You’ll Be Working
Home 1 – Supporting Four Ladies (30s–50s)
You’ll support four women with learning disabilities and epilepsy. Some have limited communication or do not use words to communicate, and two use wheelchairs (one only when out and about).
- Support Type: 1:1 and 2:1
- Shifts: 7am–2pm / 2pm–9pm / waking nights (9pm–7am) / sleep-ins (10pm–7am)
- Support Needs: Personal care, hoist use (for one), meal prep, medication administration
- Activities: Health appointments, shopping, cooking, local sports centres, celebrating festivals, cinema, meals out, day trips, music, and visiting family
- Qualities Needed: Creative, patient, willing to learn signs, passionate about helping others live their best lives
Home 2 – Supporting One Gentleman (40s)
You’ll support a man with learning disabilities who enjoys an active lifestyle and has a great sense of humour. He walks independently but uses a wheelchair for longer journeys.
- Support Type: 1:1 (lone working)
- Shifts: Long day (8am–11pm) / sleep-in (11pm–8am)
- Support Needs: Personal care, meal prep, medication administration
- Activities: Swimming, walks, music, watching sports, visiting family
- Qualities Needed: Confident lone worker, friendly, engaging, and reliable
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in health and social care (especially lone working)
- Confidence supporting people with learning disabilities and epilepsy
- Manual driver with a full UK licence
- Female applicants only (GOR applies)
- Friendly, adaptable, and creative personality
