Support Worker Opportunity – Perfect for Health & Social Care Students

Location: Droitwich, WR9 (Just a 3-minute drive from Droitwich Spa Train Station – ideal for commuting students)
Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour
Hours: Part-Time – up to 30 hours per week
Driving Requirement: Full UK Manual Driving Licence (you’ll be supporting people using mobility vehicles)

Join our friendly team in a specialist supported living setting, where you’ll gain valuable experience supporting young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs.

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You’ll be working with five individuals aged 19–31, each with their own personalities, routines, and goals. The setting is a modern apartment-style home with shared spaces and a garden.

Here’s what they enjoy:

  • Attending college – two individuals are currently enrolled and actively learning
  • Social activities – one person has a packed calendar of events
  • Hobbies at home – from gaming and comics to cartoons and relaxing in the garden
  • Community engagement – two gents are exploring future roles and love outings
  • Trips to the cinema, bowling, and walks in the park

This is a dynamic, social, and engaging environment where you’ll play an important role in supporting independence, promoting engagement, and ensuring well-being.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll be part of a close-knit team, supporting people to live full, independent lives. Your role will include:

  • Personal care – supporting with bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Mobility support – including hoisting and wheelchair use
  • Meal support and PEG feeding – full training provided
  • Medication administration – including epilepsy support
  • Communication support – including Makaton (training provided)
  • Family collaboration – working closely with relatives to ensure consistent care

Flexible Shifts to Fit Around Your Studies

We’re currently recruiting for two part-time roles:

  • Position 1: 17:00–20:30, 3 evenings per week (10.5 hours/week)
  • Position 2: 16:00–22:00, 5 evenings per week (30 hours/week)

Weekend availability is a plus.
