Join Dimensions as an Experienced Waking Night Support Worker – 36 Hours per Week
Are you an experienced support worker looking for a wake night support worker role where you can make an impact? We’re recruiting a new Support Worker to join our team, supporting a gentleman to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night.
You will be supporting one gentleman in his 40s who requires 24-hour specialist support. He has epilepsy, bipolar disorder, type 2 diabetes, and mild-to-moderate learning disabilities. He has a history of verbal outbursts and distressing behaviours, but with the right approach, he thrives in a structured and supportive environment.
The person we support is highly independent, he enjoys restoring furniture, gardening, chess, science experiments, playing guitar, shopping, and holidays. He prefers to be seen as part of the team rather than someone receiving support, so engagement and communication are key! The best approach is to involve him naturally instead of asking him to complete a task, simply express that you need help and watch him step in eagerly.
This role requires specialist support, and candidates must have experience working with complex behaviours and be comfortable navigating distressing behaviours that can sometimes escalate.
At Dimensions, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s Best Workplaces. We offer full training, ongoing development, and a values-led culture where your contribution is recognised and celebrated.
