We’re Dimensions, a not-for-profit organisation that supports people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own! We’re seeking to recruit some great new support workers; people with the right values and behaviours to work in our supported living home in Wivenhoe, Essex – could this be you?

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to collaborate with you to help you become an excellent support worker.

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting three gentlemen and one woman with their activities and interests. The adults supported enjoy being out and about, talking to their support staff and having personalised 1:1 hours which could include personal shopping, clearing out bedrooms, housework, going to town or local garden centres or having lunch at the pub. 
  • Promote independence and enable people to develop new skills and interests.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the people we support.
  • Support adults with personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
  • Work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated support.
