Are you a calm, reassuring person who wants to make a difference to somebody’s life on a daily basis?

Dimensions is seeking Support Workers, in Weymouth, who will enable the independence of a gentleman in his 20’s who lives in his own home.

The gentleman, who is autistic, would like to work with Support Workers who will be happy helping him keep to his daily routine. Ideally, he would like Support Workers who are happy to work long day shifts (08.30-21.30) and will be able to expand his horizons over time.

Dimensions are pleased to be able to offer Support Workers a payrate of £14.10 per hour for this role.

Activities the gentleman currently enjoys his Support Workers getting involved with include:

  • Watching his DVD’s – he really enjoys Thomas the Tank Engine
  • Reading him stories
  • Helping him with his baking and cooking
  • Taking part in arts and crafts
  • Visiting local parks

This gentleman sees his parents twice a week and also sees his siblings. They work with Dimensions and his Support Workers to ensure he is receiving support that makes a meaningful difference to his life.

Support Workers may also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and prompt the gentleman to attend to his personal care.
