Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Letchworth!
Do you have the confidence and resilience to empower someone to live life on their terms? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!
The role
We’re looking for a Support Worker to join us in supporting a gentleman in his mid-40s who lives independently in his own ground-floor flat in Letchworth. Letchworth is a welcoming town with plenty to enjoy, from parks and cafes to a cinema and regular community events. It’s a great place to work and spend time, offering the perfect backdrop to help someone lead an active and fulfilling life.
In this role, you’ll encourage and support him to take part in the things he loves, whether that’s a trip to the pub, going for walks, watching films, or playing Xbox. He’s open to trying new experiences, so you’ll also play an important part in introducing him to fresh hobbies and interests.
You’ll provide support with personal care when needed, particularly at night, and help with meal preparation to promote a healthy diet. Supporting his mental health is also a key part of the role. He sometimes experiences delusions, so we’re looking for someone who is calm, confident, and understanding.
At Dimensions, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. Our values, Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Partnership, shape everything we do. We believe in helping people live full lives. If you share these values and have a genuine desire to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Shifts include long days (7:30am-10:30pm), middle shifts (10am-3pm), and waking night shifts (10:30pm-7:30am), with every other weekend required.
