Support Worker

Start 2026 with purpose as a Support Worker in Radstock (BA3)

Location: Radstock, BA3 (Just 7 mins from Dragonfly Leisure Midsomer Norton)
Pay Rate: £14.21 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts Available:

  • Long Day with Sleep-In: 10:00 AM – 10:00 AM (next day)
  • 2:1 Support (Mon, Wed, Fri): 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sleep-In Shifts: 1–2 per week

Driver Requirement: Auto-friendly full UK driving licence (essential)

  • A gentleman in his 50s with learning disabilities and autism

  • Support is primarily 1:1, with some 2:1 sessions during the week
  • Sleep-ins and long days involve lone-working

His Interests Include:

  • Socialising and friendly conversation
  • Coffee and lunch outings
  • Shopping trips to B&M and local stores
  • Maintaining a structured routine for security

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Personal Care: Supporting daily routines and hygiene
  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging choice and autonomy
  • Managing Behaviours of Distress: Using calm, confident approaches (training provided)
  • Planning Activities: Creatively supporting new experiences and community engagement
  • Building Relationships: Creating safety, trust, and consistency
  • Working Collaboratively: Communicating with family and professionals
