About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers to join a busy, lively home supporting four men aged from their mid-20s to early 60s. Each person has different interests and routines, and the home benefits from a staff team who enjoy working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
The house is very active and social, with a full calendar of social hobbies and events. The men enjoy bowling, soft play, football, cinema trips, holidays several times a year, Club 87, music clubs and being out in their local town. Interests range from Marvel and Glee to radios, cars, and music — no two days are the same.
Support also includes personal care, following safer eating guidelines, helping with daily routines, and encouraging independence wherever possible. Support is always delivered in a respectful, person-centred way.
Shifts include earlies (8am–2pm), lates (2pm–8pm) and sleep-ins, with a separate sleep-in room available from 10pm–7am. Long days are also an option. You’ll work on a two-week rolling rota, including alternate weekends.
About You
This is a great role for someone with a good sense of humour, energy, and a genuine interest in keeping people busy, active, and involved in their community. You’ll be comfortable working as part of a team and confident supporting different people with different routines and interests.
Experience in care is welcome but not essential, what matters most is the right attitude. An interest in films, music or cars would fit well in this home.
You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence and access to your own car to get to the home. One person uses a mobility vehicle and another a lease car, though public transport is sometimes used.
