Hours: 36 hours per week – Tuesday to Friday nights
Shift Time: 10:00pm – 7:00am (Waking Night only)

Are you a night owl with a caring nature and a calm, proactive approach? We’re looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in RG41, supporting three friendly and independent gentlemen with learning disabilities, autism, and health needs including epilepsy and stoma care.

What Makes This Role Special?

This is a peaceful yet vital role where your presence ensures safety, comfort, and continuity of care overnight. You’ll be supporting:

  • One gentleman who uses a wheelchair full-time
  • Another who uses a wheelchair when out and about
  • One individual who requires stoma care
  • All three are verbal communicators and enjoy active, fulfilling lives during the day

While this role is focused on night-time support, you’ll be part of a wider team that helps these individuals enjoy activities like kayaking, gardening, DJing, bowling, and seaside trips.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Ensuring Safety: Conduct regular checks to ensure the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night.
  • Promoting Rest: Provide emotional reassurance to help residents maintain healthy sleeping patterns.
  • Night Support: Assist with personal care needs during the night, including bathroom assistance and changing clothes if necessary.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of activities and any incidents that occur during the night

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Reliable and observant, with excellent attention to detail
  • Calm and confident, especially in managing health-related needs overnight
  • Able to work independently, while being part of a supportive team
  • Experience with epilepsy or stoma care is helpful but not essential
